Apr 12 Nokia ‘Business in Hand’ E6 Announced

The long rumored compact QWERTY bar business handset from Nokia namely the E6-00 which is the descendant of the well-known Nokia E72 has finally been announced. Below are the specifications:

• Display: Nokia E6-00 sports touchscreen display with VGA resolution of 640×480 pixels measured at 2.46 inch size. The screen of the device is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass (a recognized screen glass for its solidity)
• Processor: The processor under the hood is ARM11 ticking at a clock speed of 680MHz which is alike to the Nokia N8, C6 and the E7. Whereas the graphics division is supervised by a graphics chip from Broadcom
• RAM: It packs a 256MB of RAM
• Memory: The onboard memory is 8GB and comes along with a Micro SD card slot to expand the memory
• Connectivity Options: It features the standard range of connectivity options such as WI-FI b/g/n support, Bluetooth V3.0, GPS with A-GPS, and USB On-The-Go also.
• Camera: There is an unsatisfactory 8MP EDoF camera accompanying with dual LED-flash residing on the back of the handset which is capable of recording HD videos of 720p resolution.
• Battery: The battery working inside is 1500mAh, which will provide a stand-by time of more than a month on 3G mode or 7.5 hours of continuous talk-time  on 3G mode, as stated by Nokia
• Business Applications & Enhancements: As the Nokia E6-00 is a business oriented handset it features hardware accelerated device encryption, Cisco SSL VPN support, support for Mail for Exchange with enforced encryption and remote lock and wipe and so on.

Pricing: The Nokia E6-00 is likely to knock the shop doors during Q2 of 2011 with a price tag of €340 approximately (before taxes and subsidies).
