Jan 21 Jailbreak iPhone 4S & iPad 2 with Absinthe A5 [Tutorial]

With the release of Absinthe, the most awaited untethered jailbreak, you must be anticipating for the tutorial to jailbreak your A5 devices successfully. Your wait ends here as we have brought a complete process that will allow you to jailbreak your iPhone 4S and iPad 2, but before that read these instructions carefully.

• The Absinthe is available only for Mac users, so Windows users have to wait for some time
• The Absinthe performs an untethered jailbreak
• Jailbreak at your own risk, because it can harm your warranty.
• Don’t forget to take a back up
• Make sure you have updated to iTunes 10.5.3

Here is your tutorial.

1^st Step:  Download the newly released Absinthe; now make a folder on your desktop as “Absinthe” and save the application there.

2^nd Step: Tap the Absinthe zip file twice to pull the application out of the Absinthe folder. Come back to the Absinthe folder and launch the Absinthe application.

3^rd Step: After you have launched the Absinthe, tap on the Jailbreak button. The tool will then show progress update on various stages of the jailbreak process such as:

“Beginning jailbreak” (note this can really take some time – in our case this step took more than 10 minutes on our iPad 2, though it was lot quicker on iPhone 4S)

“Sending initial data” at this time you will notice that “Restoring in Progress” message on your iPad 2 (this can also take a long time – in our case this step took more than 15 mins)

“Waiting for reboot”

“Waiting for device to finish rebooting” as your iPad 2 is rebooting.

“Preparing jailbreak data”

“Sending payload data” (this can also take a long time – in our case this step took more than 15 mins)

4^th Step: After the completion of this process you will be informed that your jailbreak is almost done.  So unlock the screen if necessary and click the “Jailbreak” icon to end the process.

5^th Step: Now unlock your iPad/ iPhone 4S. The icon will appear as “Absinthe” and not “Jailbreak”, but if you won’t find it on the first home screen page then search for it using Spotlight.

6^th Step: Launch the Absinthe app. It should load the greenpois0n site and reboot your iPad 2/ iPhone 4S. After your device is rebooted, you should see the Cydia icon.
