Feb 13 Google’s ‘big’ Google TV announcement: A new YouTube app

Google on its Official Google TV Blog publicized the ‘BIG ANNOUNCEMENT’ for tomorrow. The Google TV team announced a latest YouTube app for the Google TV platform. This app contains a smoother experience and bug fixes. The considerable feature here seems to be an innovative feature entitles “Discover” that will enable users to view YouTube channels by different categories.

This YouTube app will also bear the new channels that are seen in the desktop version, through which you can navigate through users’ videos, subscriptions and favorites.

During screening a video you can use the up and down arrows on your Google TV remote to steer to the information screen. On the information screen you can also thumbs up a video to add it to your favorites or playlist and putting up a comment.

This update will be available to every Google TV user in the coming few days from Android Market. This is all in this and I am pretty disappointed how Google has overhyped this announcement.
