New TV channels added to Xbox LIVE by Microsoft

Eight new Xbox LIVE TV channels are now available as per the announcement by Microsoft. Microsoft is mounting its offerings in the U.S. and Europe to provide new localized channels. The latest included channels are:

  • 4 on Demand (C4). United Kingdom
  • ABC iView (Australian Broadcasting Corp.). Australia
  • Dailymotion. Available in 34 countries globally
  • Demand 5 (Five). United Kingdom
  • M6. France
  • MSN Video. France
  • UFC on Xbox LIVE (UFC). Canada, United States
  • VUDU (Wal-Mart). United States

Microsoft’s Xbox LIVE TV channels are a part of recent dashboard upgrade. The company brought out a number of holiday base changes to the Xbox freshly. The software designer has updated its Xbox.com homepage with a new social section which shows off what Xbox friends are doing and provides access to the beacon feature in the next Xbox 360 dashboard. This feature enables users to ark games that they want to play with others that in turn will make it easier for friends to find time to game with each other. Also the company has added search ability the Zune video catalog and buy/rent movies and TV shows from Xbox.com.

Microsoft also initiated to push copies of the Xbox fall dashboard update out to Xbox owners. Metro style interface to the Xbox is added to November dashboard update. Moreover Microsoft has added a YouTube application on Xbox. The Microsoft’s Xbox dashboard is also integrated with Bing search. The Bing users now can use Kinect’s voice recognition feature to search for movies, music and other content on their consoles.
