VLC Player 2.0 available for Download now
The next major version of VLC Media Player, VLC 2.0 is finally available for download for all platforms-Windows, Mac and Linux through the official page.
The major changes in the latest version are faster decoding on multi-core, GPU, and mobile hardware, new rendering pipeline for video, ability to open more formats, experimental Blu-Ray support, new video outputs for Windows, Android, and iOS, support for 10bits codecs, WMV image and other codes, higher quality subtitles, new video filters, and support for new devices.
The Download size for VLC 2.0 x86 is 21 MB. It is notable that the download page for Windows is only offering the x86 of the player that means VLC 2.0 x64 hasn’t been yet released for download due to some unknown reasons.
The VideoLAN organization stated that the VLC Media Player 1.1x versions have crossed 485 million downloads.
Before downloading the 2.0 version don’t forget to uninstall the previous version of VLC Media Player.
